Sensei

Product design, Brand design

A SaaS product for precise retail analytics.

The Problem

With a variety of options to track online stores metrics and data, improving physical retail stores experiences is still very hard. Through an integrated system of cameras and AI algorithms, Sensei enables a new era of Phygital stores able to capture in-store product data and shoppers’ activities, to offer a wealth of analytics and a smooth, frictionless shopping experience.

My Role

Back in 2016, Sensei was the main project I worked on while at meta.ICG. The team was built by 1 project manager, 4 developers, and 2 designers. I had the opportunity to work from the strategy, brand design, user experience, and user interface design.

Brand Design

My first task when I was assigned to the project was to work on the brand and MVP interface redesign but, after a couple of days working on it and a couple of meetings discussing the product vision and roadmap, we decided that instead of investing our time into just a facelift of an MVP, it would be much better to start working on the Beta version of Sensei. Below are some brand explorations I did.

Some brand explorations

User Experience

In the beginning of the project, we spent a lot of time on the meeting room, going over the technology, all product features, and flows.
Once we had a great idea of the skeleton for the entire user flow we would then start designing a high fidelity wireframe.

Interface Design

The city page allows users to discover more about the guide and the city. Every city has its own color on the guide cover so decided to apply a lighter version of the color to the background and call-to-actions of each city page.
